Real simple! All you have to do is run it from your nodelist directory.
QNODE will find your NODELIST file and create the index files that QuickBBS
needs. There will eventually be a cost configuration file, but that doesn't
work yet - apparently the cost stuff in the BBS doesn't work right either, at
least I'm consistent <grin>
You can specify as optional parameters to QNODE the names of nodelist files
other than NODELIST.### that you wish to include, for example:
QNODE EGGLIST TREKLIST
would compile NODELIST.###, EGGLIST.###, and TREKLIST.###
You don't need to specify any file extensions as long as the files are named
according to the standard. For non-standard file names, you must specify the
extension.
You no longer need to have a NODELIST.### for Qnode to work properly.
You can now assign costs to your nodelist configuration, this can be done for
entire zones, regions, or nets - or just certain phone numbers or prefixes.
To make this happen, you need to make a NODECOST.CTL file in the nodelist
directory when you run Qnode. This is an ASCII file, and contains one or more
lines, each with one of the following keywords:
DEFAULT
ZONE <number> <cost>
REGION <number> <cost>
NET <number> <cost>
PREFIX <prefix> <cost>
It is recommended that the statements be used in the order shown here, since
something like
NET 363 15
REGION 18 25
would assign a cost of 25 cents to net 363 since it is contained in, and listed
before, region 18.
